We are looking for a dedicated protection engineer (m/f/d) to work in the fields of protection engineering, substation control systems, substations and other exciting facilities in the renewable energy sector. Together, we ensure that energy facilities can be operated safely, reliably and efficiently.
Your responsibilities
Configuration, servicing, maintenance and commissioning of protection and control systems in substations and power stations
Carrying out DGUV V3 inspections and safety equipment inspections, with a particular focus on safety technology
Commissioning of substation control systems, transducers, emergency signalling systems and other secondary equipment
Carrying out measurements, functional tests and fault analyses
Carrying out switching operations in accordance with instructions within one’s own area of responsibility
Documentation of the work carried out and the test results
Support with maintenance, repair and optimisation work on wind turbines and substations
What you’ll need
Completed training as an electronics technician, electrician, energy systems electronics technician, mechatronics technician or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering
Ideally, further training to become an electrical engineering technician or master craftsman – or the motivation to pursue this path with our support
Initial experience in the fields of protection technology, substation control systems, substations or power plants is required
Proficient use of measurement and testing equipment
IT skills
Category B driving licence (essential)
An independent, reliable and responsible approach to work
The ability to work as part of a team and a passion for solving technical challenges
Good written and spoken German
Knowledge of English is an advantage (desirable but not essential)
Willingness to undertake fieldwork and work at heights
